Varanium Debt Opportunity Trust is a SEBI Registered CAT II AIF, the fund has 3 schemes Varanium Hospitality Fund which is focused on the Hospitality sector, Varanium Venture Debt Fund, which focuses on financing startups, and Varanium Growth Opportunities Fund which focuses on Debt, Equity and Equity related securities.
Hospitality – Special Situations Fund
Varanium announces the launch of India’s First Hospitality fund. The fund dedicated to hotel assets, with a strategy focused on operating assets looking for expansion and upgrades. Focus is on the high-end market segment (3 and 4 stars) in India with a target size over 150 million dollars. This hotel category is particularly well positioned to attract business clients and the growing tourist demand in India. For our investors, we are looking at exposing our fund to high quality local, operating assets. Fund will pursue investments in order generate attractive yield premium while limiting operational risk.
Varanium Venture Debt Fund
Varanium announces the launch of its Venture Debt Fund. The fund aims to generate regular payouts by financing startups with upside potential via warrants. Launched as a CAT II AIF, the fund will be sector agnostic with a tilt towards D2C, SaaS, and Cleantech sectors.
The fund is dedicated to financing startups, with a focus on startups that have positive unit economics and are seeking finance for their growth, business expansion, or bridge financing.
The fund aims to generate an attractive IRR with a blended approach of regular payouts from the start-ups and a kicker from exposure to their growth through warrants.
Varanium Growth Opportunities Fund
This fund aims to achieve and preserve long-term capital appreciation by primarily gaining exposure to a diversified portfolio of debt instruments, and alpha generation through partial exposure to equity, and equity-related securities in India.
